Managed Under the Express Entry System
The Work Permit through CEC, allows graduates from post-secondary institutions and temporary foreign workers with Canadian experience to transition to permanent residency (except within Quebec).
Foreign Nationals who wish to work and reside in Canada on a temporary basis will require a work permit.
The application procedure for the parent sponsorship is categorized into two:
Open work permit
Some work permits are an open work permit which allow the applicant to work for any employer within Canada (except within certain regulated fields and/or health professional fields).
Employer Specific Work Permit
The other type of work permit is the Employer Specific Work Permit, which generally requires a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and which is specific to a particular employer. I’m many cases, this type of work permit requires a job offer to be submitted with the work permit.

Canadian Work Experience
You'll need a solid year (12 months) of full-time work experience (or its part-time equivalent) in Canada over the past three years. Look for roles in TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3 that match your skill set.
Legally Earned Job
Make sure your Canadian job experience was all above board. Only legally obtained work counts towards your eligibility.
Language Skills
Communication is key! For those high-skill jobs in TEER 0 and 1, aim for at least a CLB 7 in English or French. For TEER 2 and 3 roles, a CLB 5 will get you in the door.
Education Bonus
No formal education requirements here, but hitting the books can still boost your Express Entry score, giving you an edge in your application.
