Express Entry

Your Fast Lane
to Canadian Living

Launched in January 2015 by IRCC, the Express Entry is Canada's streamlined approach to welcoming skilled workers who dream of a prosperous life in this beautiful country.

With a focus on simplicity and efficiency, this entirely online system brings together federal and provincial governments along with Canadian employers to ensure a smooth journey for those seeking financial stability and career growth in Canada. Say goodbye to the old, complicated immigration steps and hello to a clear path to Canadian immigration.

Imagine stepping into your new life in Canada just six months from now. Sounds dreamy, right?

Well, that's the magic of Express Entry! It's not just any program; it's a streamlined way to make the immigration process quicker, simpler, and way more efficient for skilled folks like you. Think of it as your fast pass to permanent residence in Canada.

But here's the twist: Express Entry itself isn't a stand-alone immigration program. It's a brilliant application management system crafted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to sort and speed up applications from skilled workers through various federal economic immigration programs.

Here’s a friendly walk-through to get you started.

01

First up, you’ll create an online profile—think of it as your professional introduction or your Expression of Interest (EOI). It’s your first step into the Express Entry pool where your journey truly begins.

Once in the pool, you'll get a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on your profile details. It’s like getting your personal scorecard that shows where you stand among fellow hopefuls. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regularly holds Express Entry draws, picking out candidates with scores above a certain threshold and inviting them to apply for Permanent Resident (PR) status. It’s your chance to shine and secure your spot for a new life in Canada!

Most of the Express Entry applications are processed within six months or less. The approved applications will receive authorization to activate the PR status in Canada.
